California police are required to lock their guns in their car

According to the article from the Washington Times, Governor Jerry Brown of California signed a bill saying that gun owners and policemen have to lock up their guns in their car if they leave the vehicle  unattended. Starting on January 1st that police and gun owners lock their gun in the trunk or in a container out of plan sight. If they fail to do this they will be fined $1,000.00. This bill is in place because a gun stolen from a police officer was used in the San Francisco killing of 32-year- old Kate Steinle and 27-year- old Antonio Ramos.
