Missouri's State Senate Race
In the Missouri's State Senate Race the Republican nominee is Roy Blunt and the Democrat nominee is Jason Kander. Roy Blunt is the incumbent of this senate race. Roy graduated from Southwest Baptist University. He has had multiple jobs in politics such as house majority whip from 2003- 2007, house majority leader sep. 2005- feb. 2006, house minority whip 2007- 2008, and elected vice chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. Roy says he will support the republican nominee so therefore he is standing by Donald Trump. In Roy Blunt's Campaign, he has so far raised $14,352,574, spent $10,436,064, and cash still in hand $4,089,549. His top contributors are Crawford Group, Goldman Sachs, Montesano Co, Capital One Financial, and the Blackstone Group. Jason Kander went to American University and Georgetown University. His previous jobs are a captain in the Army Nation Guard, lawyer, and the Secretary of State of Missouri. He supports Hillary Clinton, the democratic nominee. Clinton's Campaign funded Kander's campaign over 500,000 dollars. He does have some different view points on different subjects such as gun control and Obamacare. He has gotten wide media cover from his campaign video of him assembling a gun against gun control. In Jason Kander's campaign, he has raised $9,516,888, spent $6,019,823, and cash still in hand $3,497,062. Kander's top contributors are Simmons Hanly Conroy, University of Missouri, Sosland Publishing,Thornton Law Firm, Korein Tillery Llc, Bryan Cave LLP, Akin, Gump et al, Lieff, Cabraser et al, Dollar, Burns & Becker, and St Louis Missouri. According to the polls, this is a very tight race. The polls show that Blunt has the lead by one, 45, and Kander has 44.
