Nationwide Highschool Graduates has Gone Up

According from the article from CBS News, Obama says the nation wide high school graduation rate for 2014-2015, academic year, is now 83.2 percent. The graduation rate rates with every racial and ethnic group has risen as well. Mr. Obama also noted that two thirds of job openings require a post-high school education. “You’re competing with somebody on the other side of the world in China or in India, because jobs can go wherever they want because of the internet, because of technology. And the best jobs are going to go to the people that are the best educated whether in India or China or anywhere in the world.” said President Obama. This quote from President Obama shows highschoolers looking for a job that it is actually more beneficial to them to continue their education in order to find a job later in life.
